When
asked, most people thought the build and expedition
would be the most difficult part of our project.
Indeed, it was not easy to conceive then prove the
theory using working scale models and extensive computer
simulation. Having done this, we then had to find
marine architects up to the task of stressing and detailing
Solar Navigator and a ship builder with the experience
to tackle construction. Materials and components
had to be sourced and insurances put in place.
Finally, a proficient crew has to be assembled.
Yet,
none of the above compares with the task of raising
sufficient funds to operate the project and perhaps we
should seek the help of Anthony Hopkins and Tom Cruise
when approaching this the most difficult phase of our
enterprise.
